WHY MAURITIUS
The island is no longer only a destination for tourism, it is rapidly becoming a destination for production. International films, series, and commercial projects are choosing Mauritius for its extraordinary visual diversity, its stability, and its growing professional ecosystem.
We are launching in Mauritius because, just like in other rising creative cities around the world, we recognize a moment of acceleration.
Mauritius offers something rare: within a small geographic footprint, filmmakers can access turquoise lagoons, dramatic mountain ranges, dense forests, colonial architecture, modern cityscapes, and culturally layered neighborhoods.
Strategically located between Africa, Asia, and Europe, Mauritius is a natural bridge between markets.
The government has made clear commitments to support the industry. Through the Film Rebate Scheme administered by the Economic Development Board Mauritius, qualifying productions can access competitive cash rebates, positioning the island as both creatively exciting and financially viable. There is ambition that deserves structure. There is talent that deserves global opportunity.
We want to support the ecosystem as it expands.
We want to connect local talent with international professionals.
It is about participating in the rise of a film industry that is positioning itself on the global stage.
